How to add 2 Subwoofers to your Car!

Ok so we know how to add 1 Subwoofer to your car..

Heres a post on how to add 2 which means Double the Bass!

In my car, I got 2 Subs and an Amp and Speakers. The subs are both 1000 watt and the Amp is 1000 watt. The amp is used to balance out the sound.

This is a video to show clearly how to add 2 subwoofers to your car!

How to Bridge 2 Subwoofers Together

That video shows how to do it the proffesional way, the way I do it is simple. You get the Wires (Black and Red) that go from your subwoofer to your amp, and simply split it down the middle. Use half the wire and thread it to the other sub you are fitting in. Do this with both the Black and Red wires. You will find the wires will be all over the place so get electrical tape and wrap it round!

This keeps the wires safe and away from danger or risk of fires. Once this is done, you can turn your sound on and hear the Double Bass!

You can get 2 Subs and all you need for this sound system by going to one of theses following shops:

Halfords

BassJunkies

A Near Disaster With Live Feed!

Posted by Charlie Dean | Posted in Safety | Posted on 06-03-2009

Hello, this post is mainly informing you to be careful with your live feed!

After my sister had her MOT on her car, the mechanics took away the Subwoofer and Live Feed from the battery…

Why?

They did this because close to the fuse in the live wire, it was nearly apart and I saw the damages to the wire which were due to the high voltage and therefore ‘burnt’ the fuse.

What would have happened if it was still connected to the battery?

If the live wire was still connected to the battery, there would have been a high chance that it would catch fire and end up with the car being in flames! It was the perfect time for them to do this because you don’t know when your in danger until your car is bursting out with flames! It is very easy for you car to catch fire from live feeds.

After removing the damage from the wire, I travelled to Halfords and got myself a fuse and 1 Metre of the live wire. I re-connected the live feed and put it all back together. Before connecting it right up to the battery, I firstly connected all the other wires to the Subwoofer and Amplifier so I am in no danger with the voltage from the battery. After connecting it all back together it worked!

So everyone who has a Live Feed running through their cars, take care and check regularly to make sure there is no chance of you or your car being in danger. If your car has the same problem as what my sister had, just simply get some Live Wire and a new Fuse and then re-connect it to the battery and you have nothing to worry about!

Take care.
